I am a senior lawyer whose talents and experience lie at the intersection of business, regulation and science, especially advanced biotechnologies involving field crops, tender fruits, food, food processing, genetics, nanotechnologies and biologics in domestic or international contexts.  I have 28 years of extensive legal experience in domestic and international settings; a PhD in law concerning the labeling of genetically modified foods, and a Master’s degree in intellectual property law.

  • appeared before civil and administrative boards e.g. Civil Aviation Tribunal, Mining Recorder
  • negotiated and drafted, independently or as part of a team, sophisticated, cutting-edge major contracts involving intellectual property, commercial transactions, joint ventures and regulatory law ― e.g. genetically modified crop licenses, airport privatizations
  • initiated and conducted innovative legal client education (intranet web page, newsletters, debriefings) ― e.g. taught commercialization, aviation, mining officers
